EIT Food Venture Summit 

2 -12 June 2019

The first, challenging workshop concerns getting in touch with the Food system challenges, problem/solution fit and Knowledge/Tech expertise.

14 - 19 July 2019

This is an intensive Bootcamp week, where students learn how Business creation works and get support to validate their early-phase Ideas / Technologies.

14 - 25 October 2019

Strategy, funding opportunities, StartUp building and the entrepreneurial culture of the famous Silicon Valley will be the programme´s cornerstones.

12 & 13 November 2019

This is the event where StartUps will lay the foundation of their Network within the EIT Food ecosystem.

Key activities & Timeline

  • 6 month Mentoring by a GFVP partner institute on how to validate your  business idea and start your start-up (for selected participants)
  • 10 day Summer School in Madrid (2-12 June 2019)
  • 1 week Pre-Incubation Bootcampamp in Lausanne (14 -19 July 2019)
  • 10 day International Bootcamp in Silicon Valley (14 - 25 October 2019, for selected participants)
  • GFV Final Pitch Event & EIT Food Venture Summit with final pitches and innovation prizes by the EIT Food Business Creation (12 & 13 November 2019, for selected participants)

Current PhD students from any European Institute or H2020 associated countries can enter the Programme by applying

either for the Summer School in Madrid or the Pre-Incubation Bootcamp in Lausane of the Global Food Venture Programme 2019!

Why should you join?

The Global Food Venture programme will boost your entrepreneurship and business creation skills with an intensive, tailor-made curriculum offered at various innovation ecosystems in Europe and the Silicon Valley in USA! You will learn about the process and challenges of building a StartUp, while being supported by a Mentor from one EIT Food Partner Institute for a period of more than 6 months. GFVP will give you access to an international network of Food&Agtech experts and investors to help you validate your idea.
